It is a fine cloudy day, and Philip decided we will bring the kids to the Animal Resort. He invited his friend, Kevin along. His son is 14 months and very adorable and cheerful. Animal Resort is located at Seletar Farmway, from Yio Chu Kang MRT, it's just a short ride in by Taxi. By car, you will have to exit by Jalan Kayu and turn into the Seletar Farmway. This is actually Alyssa's third time there, for Alexis, it's her second time.
We bought some feeds and went to the horses first. There had been new additions to the farm, 2 little ponies. Alyssa fed the horse carrots while Alexis was clinging to me for her dear life. The last time we came, the horse "molested" her little leg by licking it. Probably thought her fair little leg is some kind of food.

Then we went to feed some fishes (again haha) It seems to be the all time favourite for the kids, especially Alexis, since she is frightened of the horse and fearful of the geese.

We fed some geese along the way. The geese were very aggressive, coming very near to us and scaring Alexis out of her wits.
Feeding the geese
We went to the pound to see the little puppies. There is this really tiny one, probably just born not very long ago, or its just a miniature. Size is around 20cm in length (yes that small). It is so adorable, I just feel like bringing it back. But logic told me with the 2 kids, I already have a handful, no time for the little puppy.
Little pup's show
Got to see some baby rabbits, but no chickens in sight.
They have been locked up in view of the present bird flu. We had a wonderful time. Think the kids too, except one moment where Alexis accidentally stepped onto a muddy path and got her shoes all muddy. She started crying and complaining until I brought her to wash up. Oh dear, she is becoming very dainty, maybe I harp too much about cleanliness haha.

I love my PDA phone more and more. Took alot of clips and photos with it when we went out today. We went to Suntec with mom and the 2 little gremblins. They had a very early nap, so we were able to get out abit earlier, around 3+ . Mom need to collect her $20 voucher given by UOB so we went down, determined to get the voucher and use it today!
At Suntec basement, we saw this marvellous aquarium that features coral fishes and corals. It's real cool that 3 TVs are actually inside the tank. I do not know how they do it, but it looks good.(check out below).
TV? in the tank?
The kids were so excited over the fishes, they were saying nemo here, dory there. Actually there are alot of "nemos" and "dories". They are coral fishes arn't they? duh. Still we got to act enthusiatic. (never deaden the child's curiosity and enthusiasm, it's a deadly sin. *grin*)
Therapical to watch fishes
Finally we got moving, before being lured into another part just next to the aquarium. There is a Koi pond inside and many many Kois. Of course the kids got into a frenzy again over the fishes, which are all swimming so near the edge, looking for food I supposed. My mom and I too got into a frenzy fearing that they might fall in and become fish food. haha. I saw the sign that said that we could buy fish food from the pet stall which was so conveniently situated just next to the pond. I wonder if fish food is the only things they actually sold. Imagine, a Pet stall in a corner? *boggle* So I bought the $2 a pack ( don't expect too big a pack, it's just enough to feed the fishes till you are bored.) fish food and the kids started "throwing" the food in. Well, the fishes are mightily hungry and rushed for the food.
After feeding, we went in search of our( I mean everyone including Aly and Alex) all time favourte restaurant, "Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao" to utilize the voucher. Too bad Northpoint's Crystal Jade was closed due to the owner not extending the contract. One nice restaurant less, one less place for us to go *sniff* Anyway, Crystal Jade has so many outlets, but we only like the one that serve La Mian and Xiao Long Bao only. That's because we LOVE the seafood fried rice. Aly will always point to the picture and say I want seafood fried rice. To our utter horror, Suntec's outlet do not serve the
seafood fried rice :( In the end we ordered another type of fried rice. After a hearty meal, we had mango puddings to go with. I think "Crystal Jade" has the best mango pudding. It is smooth, with some soft mango cubes within and not too sweet. Taste heaven with the condensed milk. The best part is, you could share it with your kid so you won't feel so sinful about eating it hehe. We happily used the voucher and the bill only comes up to $12 plus. Wonderful, it will be nice to have this kind of voucher more often haha.

Today, the kids asked to play with water during their bath. They ended up playing with soap except what they originally set out to play. Took a video clip of them playing in the bathroom. Those under 21, please watch under parental guidance. ha ha just kidding :)

First Alyssa was coughing for almost one month before she finally recovered last week after taking antibiotics. Now it's Alexis's turn to cough. Oh my, when will this end. The doctor commented that Alexis seems to have symptoms of asthma, but he assured us that sometimes kids do have this symptoms for once or twice. If this always happen whenever she gets sick, then it will be confirmed asthma. I do hope it won't be, since I was asthmatic when young. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Got them to go bed for their nap and it's already 4+ and they still toss around on the bed and refuse to sleep. I suspect they will nap till 7+ if they do go to sleep. Wondering if I should be playgroup tomorrow, because Alexis is still coughing. I think better keep her away from the other kids, do not want to spread the germs around. Then....it will be another boring boring day for me :P Oh boy, that's the life of a mother cum housewife haha

Finally, after a lapse of 8 months (wow!), I am getting down to writing this blog again more regularly. My attention span is very short so that explains why my blog is very diligently written for a few days before sending to the "cold palace". Today got the kids 12 stickers and they only cost $1! Those stickers are quite nice too, considering they are so cheap. The kids love stickers, but i always regret after buying the stickers because I will soon find them in all kinds of places like the cupboards, walls, floors and even clothes! Then I will regret buying the stickers and tell myself, no more will I give myself more trouble. But the next time i see those stickers, I will only remember their smiling and happy faces when they saw those. *sigh* Mothers as usual...
Last week, Philip gave me a PDA that his company developed and I am very happy to play around with it. I used the video recording feature in the PDA to take the kids playing etc. ( See the beach clip.) Hey it's fun and the kids really enjoy looking at themselves in the movie clip. Talk about Hi-tech, the kids really benefited from this improvement of technology. Most of the kids are barely 1 years old and already have more than 2 full albums of photos and video clips etc. But I think its wonderful to keep all these for remembrance, kids will only be a baby and child once. Here is one of Alexis crying.(Forgot about the rotation problem again*duh*)

We went the beach Today. Was a lovely day brought some food for picnic. I made char kway teow and fried some fishballs. We brought some papayas and a big bottle of mineral water along. The kids brought their favourite toys for the beach, scoops, molds etc. They had a lot of fun. Philip got sunburn from trying to catch fishes. He managed to catch 3 reasonably big fishes and 2 tiny ones with the net that I bought this morning. Saw Alyssa doing some stabbing action with the scoop in the pail of water holding the fishes and 2 crabs. When I got there ( alas a little too late), the crab had become 4 pieces. :( Took a clip of the kids playing with the sand with the Zircon AXIA, the product Philip's company developed. Did not know the orientation of the clip so it comes out the wrong way. Sorry, got to crane your head to the left in the meantime while I try to find a way to rotate this clip. haha

Alyssa performed with her Nursery 2 class on the 29th October. Of course all of us, philip, Alexis and me went down to give her our utmost support. The concert was pretty entertaining with all the classes performing. The funniest was the toddlers group who did a butterfly dance. Well, the whole time the little tots were at a loss. Some forgot about their stagefright for a while and did some jumping while some walk around like some lost butterflies. Everyone were laughing at the comical effect, and I was going, "so cute, so cute!" while roaring away in laughter.
Alyssa's group did relatively well, so did the others. The best items was performed by the higher grades, the K2's. I did not recognise Aly at first with her makeup and hairdo and Philip was "suaning" me that as the mother I can't recognise my dotter. Anyway, she performed well, did not forget her steps which happened during the rehearsal. (yes, they had 2 rehearsals, really like professional dance show) After the concert, I took some photos of Aly in her costume. Did not come out too well because of the lighting.
